Had an awesome time with friends! We enjoyed the scenic nine-hole golf at Traigh Golf Course and explored stunning water activities nearby. Could spot the elusive Pine Marten while hiking around Loch Morar, which was memorable. The rooms were comfy and offered amazing views too. Just a heads up, breakfast service can be a bit slow during peak times.
On the downside, the room I got had some cleanliness issues, with dirty pillowcases and some maintenance needed in the bathroom. The TV was tricky to manage too, which was annoying.

The hotel boasts stunning views over the harbor and nearby isles that truly enhance the experience, alongside a cozy atmosphere with ample seating for relaxation. Friendly staff members create a welcoming environment, although staff availability can be a challenge. Dining options at local independent restaurants ensured delicious meals during my stay, despite the hotel’s limited dining service.

Amazing views and friendly vibes
We stayed here for a night and the views were just stunning! You can see the sea and islands right from the terrace. The staff were super friendly and made us feel at home. Breakfast was super overpriced, though, so we headed to a cute cafe nearby instead. Just wish the shower was a bit better!

Staying for two nights in a spacious room with stunning views was a highlight, especially with the excellent breakfast featuring fresh fruit and pastries. The staff offered a warm welcome and were especially accommodating. they got me a hair dryer quickly. the lack of hair dryer facilities in the room was a bit inconvenient, and breakfast starting at 7 am wasn't ideal for early ferry travelers.

My stay at the Highland in Mallaig was delightful! The stunning views from the cozy double room captivated me, while the attentive staff made my experience even better. Though the lack of lift access posed a minor inconvenience, the charm of the place outweighed it. Highly recommend for its local cuisine too!

Room had a stunning view over the sea. Breakfast overpriced considering the options. Cozy vibe in the lounge and fresh seafood served for dinner.

missingWrote a review on 29 Junfresh seafoodcozy sea viewfriendly stafftired décoroverpriced breakfast
The food scene is a real winner here, especially the seafood—fresh, local, and absolutely delightful! Plus, the cozy vibe of our room had us chilling with a stunning sea view. The staff were young and keen, making our stay feel more personal.
While the hotel has charm, don’t expect a fresh vibe—the décor is in need of a spruce up. Plus, the price tag felt a bit steep for what we got, especially with that breakfast being a separate (and pricey) add-on.
